at ten, i received a belt with a reversible gold/silver-toned buckle.....later, in my twenty's, i bought a silver buckle at the opening celebration of Tiffany's here.....i would always look for belts with removable buckles, then replace the usually chintzy buckles with ones of my own.....then, as compulsive "disorders" would have it, i began to collect all types of buckles......my favorite is an Archibald Knox buckle from Liberty's.....the one above is an old paste buckle that i wear with high-drape, full-leg, pleated dress slacks.......when i'm not utilizing decorative galluses.....just about all pants have belt loops, so, for the most part, my extensive collection of antique pants' suspenders sleeps in a drawer.......
