I traded something that I've now totally forgotten, for one of the Austrian pottery vases pictured here.....40 years ago. This began my collection of these aesthetic and unusual pieces which I am making arrangements to leave to The High Museum. Although they are highly decorative, I feel that they are not only for "display" as objects of art, but should be utilized for what they are......vases. It seems so odd, when I bring flowers to another's home, and the recipient says, "Let's see, there should be a vase in the closet, I think...."
