Rouge Pot.....an Edwardian 'Necessaire' for the well-appointed lady......an evolution from the older 'sticker' boxes of the 18th Century...




 This rouge box design was first used with chatelaines until they fell out of favor in 1900. They were then attached to brooches for women to easily access their makeup. This sterling silver piece was created in the 1920's by G. H. French and Company out of Attleboro, MA.
