MOTHER'S DAY 1952

I was going through some old boxes of Mother's and found this little "pamplet" with three of my creations, given by me, age 6 or 7, to Mother on her special day......I was wearing my favorite "Tonto" shirt for the picture.........

a good old Iowa farm boy, Gary makes intricate sculptures from ordinary Rhea and Ostrich Egg Shells.....it really amazes me that the jigsaw puzzle eggs can be taken apart and reassembled...

even more beautiful lillies opening to the morning light........the hummingbirds and carpenter bees are fueling on the orange trumpet flowers and the old succulent that I moved to the outdoors, only a week ago, has produced clusters of intense hot pink flowers with saffron-yellow centers......
