This really large floral brooch was designed to be worn upon a square-shouldered jacket or fur.....I met Joan Crawford, then the Pepsi Queen, at the Russell Erskine Hotel in Huntsville....She was wearing an even larger version of this!

theodore b. starr pin
This tiny pin was my first art nouveau purchase.....today, this piece seems rather flat, however...
It was made by the William B. Durgin Company for Theodore B. Starr, in 1900....Today, I prefer more
three-dimensional, more sculpural, works......This one now serves as a lapel decoration....I could
never bear the silly "button hole" on the lapels of suits........so, these little pins and brooches
cover the things up very decoratively....
