OLD APPLIANCE STORE IN CLAYTON

Reis went to this old appliance store in Clayton, Georgia, to find a part for his lipstick red vintage stove......It was a wonderful experience to see an entire store, in a small town, that sold ONLY old appliances.......This was on the heels of my visit to the High Museum's vintage car exhibition......my pics aren't very interesting.... I just ran in and clicked the shutter, quickly, then left......for cooking, however, I wouldn't trade my new-fangled Kitchenaid Superba, though! I'm a third generation devotee....

MY FIRST AUTOMOBILE......A CONVERTIBLE SPORTS!

I was so surprised that my mother gave me this pale blue TR-3 (not our neighbor, Werner's, old gull-wing Mercedes, however) as a college graduation gift.....I spent the summer after graduation at some aimless and meaningless job until, after 3 months, she said "Now you have a car.....I have located another "graduation gift".....a real job!".....Although i was taking some post-grad courses in H'ville, my parents surmised that I was just spinning my wheels.....Mother actually completed an application for a job, without even mentioned this to me! I took the job, having no better plan of action, and signed a contract to work as a personnel staffing specialist for the Warner Robbins Air Material Area's Personnel department.......Mid-term of this "first-real-job" Virgil Stallings and I drove the car off the still-uncompleted Interstate 75, near Macon....I sold the TR-3 to a salvage yard and replaced it with a white TR-4, quit the job and moved to Atlanta.
