Repetition from the Cage of Contemporaneity

What hath Phillip Glass institutionalized? I'm intrigued by 8th Blackbird......regardless of the imprinting of Glass' tiresome repetitiveness all over this piece.......Unhook yourself, David Lang....or be trapped in a padded room with Minaj on constant repeat, alternating with Cage's works for prepared piano.......It's not Subotnik, after all, is it?
