I was promised a vehicle.....if.....I would not drop out of Vanderbilt and head out to Berkeley, California, to study Photography....at Brooks..... So, in 1967, Mother bought me a second-hand TRIUMPH, in powder blue....for $1700.....that had been featured in a movie with Ann-Margret and Elvis Presley, 3 years earlier.......A year later, in 1968, speeding in 'overdrive' with my passenger/friend, Virgil Stallings...on the new highway to Atlanta, I drove the Triumph off a cliff, into some quicksand, where it was consumed in gunk and abandoned......
