This old tiger/bird's eye maple Philadelphia recamier has, over the decades, been relegated to a 'storage shelf' for all sorts of stuff, and has never had an Elizabeth Bennett or a gowned Empire or Regency lady recline upon it.......It has moved from home to home with other figured maple furnishings........Surely, there is a Jane Austin out there that longs for an upscale, Egyptian revival Federal 'fainting' chaise.......'Rooms-to-Go'ers.... save some bucks and recline in high fashion, with the right jewels.....What happened to the Romance that was supplanted by those dreadfully ugly sofa beds and overstuffed sofas?
