WISTERIA

During my fixation on stained glass, I replaced 9 windows of my house....the windows with not-so-great views....with leaded, stained glass. This, as OCD would have it, focussed my attentions on glass, stained glass, vases.....you get the drift.....a dozen or so lamps later, my collecting culminated in this last beauty....I hope.....a beautiful wisteria lamp, so weighty that I need help just picking it up. Blanche DuBois would be pleased.......lighting filtered though wondrously splendid colors.

MONITOR LIZARD

I was cleaning out a packed closet, recently, and re-discovered this "lizard" painting that I did in high school......A relatively prolific painter then, I filled walls of my accomodative parents' home with these large, naive-style paintings. When I left for college, I crammed the paintings into a closet, thinking them too unaccomplished to have on display.....When my Mother died, I gave away the paintings that I'd not already dumped on my friends and even total strangers....I even sold a few, claiming to have no idea of who painted them......The"Egg-eating Lizard" remains.....still without a wall upon which to hang.....Sentiment doesn't advance its rank too very much!
