PERSIAN HOOKAH
During the 1970's, I collected all sorts of paraphernalia like this.....the depicted hookah, made from ancient iron....inlaid with silver, is the only one that i kept. ....I bought it in London, from a rich Euro-trash hippie that i met in an opium den, a few miles from Windsor Palace.....where, incidentally, we viewed QEII, standing in a window, smoking a cigarette! I hitched a ride to Slough, where we scored some material, from a groundskeeper at Saint Laurence's Church, to waft from the beautiful instrument.....
later, I had to attend a dinner at Lloyds of London, and view the Debeers collection of coloured diamonds......through somewhat of a purple haze......
pragmatic sensualist, motivated by really deep instincts, actualized by willful imaginings and perpetuated by other's desires. Abstract, yet clear in purpose, honest, but abstruse, my moods change like winds and water with my confidences, and when ungrounded, i am both guarded and vulnerable, leaning, in darkness, to the Light, nurtured by instinctual feelings arising from a deep gene pool.
