Re-watching PRIDE & PREJUDICE......the BBC serial adaptation of Jane Austin's novel.......inspired me to haul the old J.E. Caldwell silver tea kettle out of storage...then, spending two hours removing the accumulation of decades of tarnish....restoring it to its beautiful functionality......This led to polishing a silver tea caddy, a couple of caddy spoons, a boxed set of tea spoons, a pair of sugar cube tongs and a covered receiver for depleted tea leaves.....I'm ready for 'high tea', Mr. Darcy.......Now...where are my white gloves with 'ring cut-outs'....(a couple of Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissants, even if served upon an inappropriate dessert plate and eaten without gloves, was adequate for a solitary late b'fast/tea...)
