My Mother and Step-father, at Aunt Lula's......1960, the high point in time for their marriage....rich and happy just months before Tom bankrupted his business and lost H&G investements and the confidences of my maternal grandfather and Aunt Louise.......Shamed and humiliated by his childhood friends and social connections, he left to take engineering jobs in Fargo/Morehead, Chicago and Seligman. Their marriage stuck, nevertheless, although they lived far across America from one another.
