My friend, Majorie O'berne, brought this from Nepal in the early '70's....
She insisted that I pay her $2 for it, then.....the woodblock print, on
rice paper, initiated my collection of Nepalese art.....a few years later,
I met Zoe Van der Cleveland, from whom I acquired many beautiful Thankas.
Although many more sophisticated drawings and paintings have surplanted this
simple work's significance, it still brings back fond memories.....
