this Lady Mantis was cruising the Buddha......looking for some 'action'.......minutes later, she devoured a 'suiter'......biting off his head and upper body, then eviscerating his abdomen as his eyes watched himself,,fertilizing her eggs.......only moments afterward, ants 'moved in' to haul off his body parts to the vast ant colony that dwells beneath the driveway......

while she was decapitating the suiter that won 'mating rights' with her, a bird flew down and took her to it's nest to feed its young.......I picked the half-eaten corpse of her 'husband' and tossed it to the driveway, where is was taken off, in pieces, later in the afternoon, by a line of worker ants....to their underground colony.......
