THE 'BROWN SUGAR BOWL' .....

 

This glazed porcelain container has been utilized in my dining room for several decades......As aesthetic as is it, it bears no marks or signature, oddly.......And, after all these years, I don't remember where or from whom I acquired it........Likely, it was from The Signature Shop, where many of my Artists Friends sold their wares......via Blanche Reeves, during the 1970's.....  A few moments ago, my friend Sandy Culp suggested 'Gay Smith' (Gertrude Graham Smith), a Penland Potter,  as its maker.....A bit of research has ascertained that Sandy was correct!    Thanks, Sandy.....
