Shortly after arriving in Atlanta's 'Hippie Scene', I met Katherine Palmer, who I 'commissioned', for $35/ea, to melt down both my high school and college class rings....those awful Balfour 'things'...and create 'free form' rings for myself and my lover....a couple of years later, my ring was stolen from its hiding place in a laundry hamper....then a couple of years later, my ex was bound and gagged and stripped naked in NYC....and had to relinquish the other ring or be killed by the assailants......
