I found this heavy pipe, thrown into a shoe box at the old Lakewood Fairgrounds Antique Show.....40 years ago.....The Dealer bought it because he collected 'fish-related' antiques...like old fishing lures, nets, rods & reels and taxidermied bass and trout.....I traded him an antique red Shakespeare Spin Cast Reel, a fiberglass rod and the remainder of Tony Hoover's father's hand-tied fishing flies......

the 'human figure' is characteristic of most of the humans that are as part of smoking pipes......in that he is crouching, with his legs tucked under his buttocks.....and hands to his sides...or, often, holding his folded legs or grasping the smoking bowl....
