Originally, a vermeil pin, I had the frog brooch disassembled, had a mold made, then cast the frog in green gold with diamonds and emeralds...........Ironically, the "real" jewelled frog looks exactly like the costume piece.........
Yesterday......watching Sotheby's Road Show......a gilt-silver Frog appeared for evaluation,.....Hmm...I wondered "how valuable is my green gold, diamond and emerald Frog?"....Often, 'it is in the Name', you know.....
