a self-portrait by Dean Hanley, who is losing his mind more and more every day......a reclusive painter who, when diagnosed with a terminal illness, has become increasingly more critical of the world that gets to survive him and less loving of the people in that world.....his paintings are remarkable and detailed, however.....done with very, very thin enameled surfaces or with extremely thick impasto....often in detailed, jewelled frames with rich, vibrant colors......Dean points his angry finger toward the world outside....It's a very sad situation.........
